Boy! We're proud to introduce our beautiful baby boy, Gyeong-Han Yun, born May 4, 2010, in Ulsan City, South Korea. We received our referral on December 8, 2010, and we are in the process of completing the immigration paperwork that will bring him home. Hopefully we'll travel to Seoul sometime in the spring of 2011. We are BLESSED!

More About Our Adoption.....
Adoption has always been in our hearts. Since my brother was adopted I have always been aware of it and have always dreamt about doing it myself. When Matt and I got married we talked about it but didn't pursue it at first. Due to three unfortunate losses we decided it was the best next step for us. We are thankful we are able to pursue it and thankful we will be adopting from South Korea, which is where my brother, Dan, was born. It will be awesome for our son to have an uncle that is a little more like him than the rest of us. Our hearts are now more open than ever to welcoming our son into our family through adoption. Speaking of family, we are so thankful that our families support our decision to pursue adoption.
Well, folks, we should be getting our referral very soon! We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, we are praying for South Koreans as they struggle again with North Korea.

Having Fun at Harvest Time
We recently returned from a trip to Scottsbluff. We had a great time! Thea enjoyed running through the pasture, seeing the animals and getting spoiled by grandma and grandpa. Lately has been interested in the Halloween "spookies" like pumpkins, ghosts, spiders and scarecrows. She sports a Halloween tattoo constantly. We went to Vala's pumpkin patch a few weeks ago. Talking in complete sentences and saying "nope" are her favorite past-times. We are having a ball with her and hoping this beautiful Fall weather will stick around for a while!

Summer Daze
It's hard to believe that summer is almost over! Thea is doing great -- growing so tall (in the 80th percentile for height) and talking in sentences. When we ask her how old she is she says "birthday two". This summer we celebrated Thea's 2nd, and had a great time at Sarah's 20-year high school reunion in Scottsbluff and then in the Rocky Mountains with grandma, grandpa, Aunt Laura and cousins Sidney and Jessy.

Welcome Spring!
Our well-deserved Spring has finally arrived. We're still a bit cool but glad we're not under any snow! Thea is doing very well. Elmo is her favorite Sesame Street character. She enjoys playing outside these days especially. She is starting to recognize her letters. She loves pointing out the "beekaballs", i.e. basketballs; every ball falls in that category in her world. Thea loves to color in her Elmo coloring book and take Josie for walks. And we can't just wear one bow, we have to wear all 10 in our hair!!

Lots of New Words!
Now 20 months old, Thea is quickly picking up lots of new words, is piecing words together and becoming more and more independent overall. She's a Sesame Street addict and loves playing at the Mahoney State Park activity center. We're looking forward to Spring; hopefully it will arrive AND STAY very soon!
